5 Months

The last 5 months have flown by so quickly. I can't believe that June 5th, Riley was 5 months old. He doesn't even look like the same baby. He is such a Little Man and has his very own personality. It is a mix between Jeremy and I. We're in for it if our tempers trickled down to Riley. He can so many things now that I remember saying I can't wait until he can do this or that. It is going by too quickly. I still have my moments where I just look at him and cry because I love him so much and want to keep him little so that I can protect him. He has such love in his eyes and I just wonder what that little mind is thinking. He is so hyper, I can just imagine the wheels turning a hundred miles an hour. Right now we are trying to get used to a sippy cup and manage to stay sitting up without support. He can sit up, but only for a few seconds and then he tumbles over. It's so cute. He likes everything he has tried so far to eat except Peas...he hated them! Out of the fruits, peaches are his least favorite. He likes to sneeze while we are eating sometimes and of course it gives Moma a food bath! His vocabulary is getting stronger in baby babble. Sometimes I swear it sounds like he is trying to get Moma out...it kinda sounds like Mummumumumum...I can't even begin to spell what it sounds like. We've always known he was going to like being outside, but I am so excited that he loves the water. He has become this little water bug. Some would say a lot like Moma and Daddy. When it was warm enough, I LOVED the pool. Still do as a matter of fact.
Jeremy has had a small surgical procedure. It was yesterday. I'm only getting to blog because of course Riley is already in the bed and Jeremy is knocked out because of his meds. He had to have hernia surgery. It went well, but he has been sick every since due to the anesthesia. Hopefully tomorrow will be better for him. Bless his heart, he can barely walk and get around and he is soooo grouchy right now because he can't move and get outside and do his normal activities. He is asleep on the couch so I thought I would take some "me" time and bring the laptop to bed and blog. I'm going to start my new book to read when I'm finished. I've posted some photos from this month. I feel like I take too many of Riley and then I tell myself that I will never have too many. I have over 1,000 photos of Riley since he was born. How crazy am I? I just can't help myself.
