Pigeon Forge Getaway

We took Riley on his first trip to Pigeon Forge this weekend. He has been to Granny & Popa's since he was 2 weeks old, but never anywhere else overnight. He did so well on the way up. I just knew he was going to sleep the whole way, but he was awake and just babbled almost the entire time. I think he knew that he was going away with Mommy and Daddy and he had us all to himself. The first night he woke up around 1 in the morning and well....he finished the night in the bed with Mommy and Daddy...what can I say...I was a sucker for once. After the first night, he was fine. He LOVED the water! It was the best birthday weekend I've ever had with my two favorite guys. I also snagged RSS to go on my Pandora Bracelet for my birthday from Jeremy and Riley. We went to Granny and Popa's after Pigeon Forge to spend the last part of our weekend. Popa bought Riley a baby pool for their house and we just had to get him in it. He like it okay, but loved it once the Little Swimmers came off. He just splashed and splashed. It was so funny. To date, Riley likes Bananas, Apple Sauce, Butternut Squash, Green Beans and Carrots. I'm so thankful he has liked everything we have tried. I think the Bananas are his fav so far. On Saturday, I was feeding him Apple Sauce and he sneezed...well you know what happened...Apple Sauce splattered all over Mommy's face. Daddy thought it was so funny! Well, I will leave you with that and the same old story from me....being a Mommy is the best gift ever. I can see the love in Riley's eyes every day. Just in the last week he has gotten to where he just wants to talk all of the time....even when it's time for bed. I hear he gets that from me, but I don't know. Jeremy says I still get like that. He says I wait until we get in the bed and then start talking about everything....I don't know!!!

4 months!

Well, Mr. Riley is now 4 months old. He has had his 4 month shots and well visit. He weighs 13 pounds even and is 24 and 1/2 inches long. He just babbles all the time and moves his little legs at what seams like 100 miles an hour when he is on the floor. He is such a happy baby! He will smile at anyone and rarely is fussy. We've had some fussy evenings the last week due to some teething, but he is being a really good sport. He finally rolled over on his belly from his back. He has been rolling on his side and from belly to back for some time now. His favorite thing to do is standing with his fist gripped around our fingers so he can look around. Riley has found this new amazement with Hercules. I can see his little brain turning and wishing he could just grab his tail and put it in his mouth. What a terrible time I'm going to have with him exploring....he wants to eat everything...even his feet!!! I try to tell him they are stinky feet and he shouldn't eat them, but he just smiles like "Whatever Mom!" Strangely, he has started "rocking" back and forth when he is on his belly. Our doctor said he is preparing for the "scoot", but it would probably be some time before he takes off. He trys so hard to sit up by himself, but still needs a little support. Riley loves cereal!!! His little lips just smack and make the funniest noise. Sometimes he gets fussy when I'm not feeding him fast enough. We're going to Gatlinburg next week for my birthday and I can't wait to get Riley in the swimming pool!!!
